Adicciones en mujeres: del estrago materno (Ravage) al arrebato femenino (Ravissement) / Addictions in Women: From Maternal Havoc (Ravage) to Female Rapture (Ravissement)

Resumen

Referencias teóricas en psicoanálisis han relacionado el fenómeno adictivo en mujeres con el estrago materno (ravage), considerándolo como un sufrimiento que no da lugar a lo sintomático y que remite al carácter tormentoso de la relación pre-edípica con la madre; posturas que a su vez se inscriben en una concepción de adicciones centrada en la función de la droga en la economía psíquica. En este artículo se propone que tal perspectiva es insuficiente, cuestionándose la generalización del estrago como única coordenada para pensar los malestares femeninos relacionados a lo adictivo. Teniendo como eje indagar en las particularidades subjetivas del fenómeno adictivo en mujeres, se analiza el lugar de la madre en la constitución psíquica y, se propone la noción de arrebato (ravissement) en tanto otro destino del trayecto pulsional femenino puesto en juego específicamente en las adicciones graves. A partir del concepto de arrebato, se discute que el fenómeno adictivo se reduzca a la “relación” del sujeto con el “objeto droga”, introduciendo una dimensión distinta al problema: el estatuto del objeto que una mujer compromete en su relación al Otro. 

Abstract: Theoretical references in psychoanalysis have related addiction in women with maternal havoc (ravage), considering it a suffering that does not give the symptomatic a place and referring it to the disruptive character of the pre-oedipal relationship with the mother figure; perceptions that are part of the conception that addiction is centered on the function of the drug in the psychic economy. This article proposes that such a perspective is insufficient, questioning the widespread havoc as the only coordinate to think about women´s ailments in the field of addiction. Taking as investigation axis the subjective characteristics of the addictive phenomenon in women, the place of the mother is analyzed in the psychic constitution, and the 22 concept of rapture (ravissement) as a feminine drive specifically related to serious addictions is proposed. Taking the concept of rapture, it is argued that the problem of addiction in psychoanalysis is reduced to the subject’s relationship with the “drug object”, introducing a different dimension to the problem: the status of the object to whom the woman has committed herself in her relationship to the Other.
