Abstract

The aim of this descriptive and cross-sectional study was to identify the level of general risk and the perception of psychosocial risk factors of each of the work groups of a public transport company in the state of Yucatan, Mexico. For the identification of psychosocial risk factors, Reference Guide III of the Official Mexican Standard (NOM-035-STPS-2018) was used. 137 workers participated, divided into groups according to the type of work and functions (managers, bosses, administrative staff, operational and technical-services staff). The results indicate a high level of risk perception throughout the company, and a shared prevalence in the perception of high risk of the workload factor in managers, bosses, operators and administrative staff, with the exception of the technical-services group. The importance of these results is discussed due to the economic and social relevance of this business sector, as well as the high exposure to risk factors, not only psychosocial, suffered by some of the workers in this field. Finally, it is recommended to establish programs to mitigate psychosocial risk factors in the work context suitable for each work group.
