Abstract
Aim: The objective is to reflect on the contributions of feminist theory in quantitative studies in social psychology based on the results of the “Survey on gender-based violence and discrimination at the Metropolitan Autonomous University” in Mexico. Method: The Survey was administered online between March 8 and April 18, 2021. Results: Participated of 2,041 people from all the Academic Units and the General Rectory, from all the sectors that make it up (students, faculty and administrative staff), as well as graduate. Women, the community of sex-gender diversity, students, as well as the age group of 22-30 years reported experiencing greater violence compared to men, administrative staff and teaching staff. Conclusions: Statistical data promote political recognition of the problem and institutional responsibility; however, community participation is required to impact institutional policies.
