Human subjects research and informed consent

All research conducted with human subjects must be approved in advance by an appropriate regulatory body, such as its own Ethics Committee (IRB). In this case, researchers must undertake to send the journal the resolution of their ethics committee and proof of consent and assent in applicable cases.
